Shop Floor Live: Colour Status Guide

Shop Floor Live uses colour highlighting to help you quickly identify operations and jobs that are approaching their estimated time, have exceeded their estimates, or may be at risk of missing delivery targets. The meaning of each colour depends on the tab and display option currently selected.

Live Operations Tab

On the Live Operations tab, colours compare an operation's actual time against its estimated time.

IndicatorStatusMeaning
🟩 GreenWithin EstimateLess than 80% of the operation's estimated time has been used.
🟨 Yellow / AmberApproaching EstimateBetween 80% and 100% of the operation's estimated time has been used.
🟥 Red / PinkOverrunActual time exceeds the operation's estimated time.
⬜ No ColourNo Time Status AppliedBoth the operation and job estimates are zero, or the booking type is L.

Notes

  • At exactly 100% of the estimate, the operation remains yellow.
  • The row only turns red once the actual time exceeds the estimated time.

Example

For an operation estimated at 10 hours:

Actual TimeColour
0 to 7.99 hours🟩 Green
8 to 10 hours🟨 Yellow

Jobs Tab

On the Jobs tab, colours compare the total actual time spent on a job against the job's estimated time.

  • At exactly 100%, the row remains yellow.
  • The row turns red only when actual time exceeds the estimate.

Important: The colours shown on the Live Operations and Jobs tabs indicate time usage against estimates only. They do not indicate whether a job is on schedule to meet its delivery date.

Due Date Tab

The colour rules on the Due Date tab depend on whether Due Date or Scheduled End is selected.

Due Date Selected (Default)

Colours compare the job's due date with today's date.

IndicatorStatusMeaning
🟩 GreenDue LaterDue in more than 5 calendar days.
🟨 Yellow / AmberDue SoonDue within 1 to 5 calendar days.
🟥 Red / PinkDue Today or OverdueThe due date is today or earlier.

Notes

  • Calculations use calendar days, including weekends.
  • A red row does not always mean the job is overdue. It may simply indicate that the job is due today.

Scheduled End Selected

When Scheduled End is selected, colours compare the scheduled finish date against the required due date.

IndicatorStatusMeaning
🟩 GreenScheduled On TimeScheduled to finish on or before the due date.
🟥 Red / PinkScheduled LateScheduled to finish after the due date.

Notes

  • There is no yellow/amber status when using the Scheduled End view.
