Description Search Not Working

Description Search Not Working

If you receive the following error when searching on the Description field:

"Check your search criteria using the help option. If the problem still exists you may not have Full Text Search Installed. Call Technical."

This usually indicates that the Full Text Search indexes need rebuilding.

Resolution

  1. From the RedAnt main menu, navigate to: Maintenance > System > Rebuild Full Text Indexes
  2. Run the Rebuild Full Text Indexes process.
  3. Allow the rebuild to complete.
  4. Retry your search on the Description field.

Additional Information

The Description field relies on the Full Text Search index. If the index becomes corrupted, incomplete, or out of date, searches against this field may fail and generate the above error message.

If rebuilding the indexes does not resolve the issue, contact your system administrator or RedAnt Technical Support for further investigation.
