  3. Click the folder icon next to the Report Path field and browse to the Crystal Report file you wish to add.
  4. (Optional) Enter a Security Code to restrict unauthorised printing of the report.
  5. Click Add Report to complete the process.

The newly added report will now appear in the list of available reports displayed above.

Removing a Report

To remove an existing report:

  1. Select the report from the available reports list using the left mouse button.
  2. Click the Remove Report button.

Running a Report

  1. Select the desired report from the available reports list.
  2. Click View Report.

If the report requires parameters to filter the data, a prompt window will appear.

Entering Parameters

When entering filter parameters, it is important to ensure valid ranges are provided:

  • Leaving range fields empty will result in no data being returned.
  • For example, if Customer From and Customer To are left blank, the report will not display any results.

Example:

To include all customers, enter:

  • From: 1
  • To: zzzzzzzz

This approach also applies to date ranges and other filter criteria.

Best Practice Tips

  • Always provide a complete range when prompted for parameters.
  • Use Security Codes where appropriate to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Ensure report names are clear and descriptive for easy identification.
